Faithful here
The show stays close to the book here, with nothing major changed, cut, or invented.
Season 1 follows the manga closely. Season 2, Tokyo Ghoul √A, does not: it is almost entirely an anime-original story that is not canon, so there is no point in the manga it corresponds to and nothing in it can be used as a reading position. The later Tokyo Ghoul:re seasons adapt a different manga, the sequel series Tokyo Ghoul:re (16 volumes, 179 chapters): Season 3 stays close enough to the plot to map cleanly, and Season 4 compresses the last two-thirds of the book so hard that whole arcs become montages, though it does reach the manga's real final chapter, so nothing is left to buy after it. All four seasons are mapped below.
Rate it from where you are. No account, and nothing here says a word about what happens next.
